Die Einrichtung der Netatmo Wetterstation war vergleichsweise einfach. Anschließen, App öffnen, Account erstellen, fertig. Für alle die kein Apple Gerät zu Hause haben, keine Angst. Die Wetterstation kann natürlich auch unter Google Android, Windows Phone oder klassisch mit dem PC über die netatmo webapp eingerichtet werden. Letztere ist verbunden mit dem netatmo Account extrem sinnvoll, wenn man von einem fremden Computer das Wetter am Standort der Station checken möchte. Grafisch von der Oberfläche her und das Design der Wetterstation an sich erinnert mich stark an das angesprochene, hochwertige Apple Zubehör. Interessant ist auch die modulare Aufrüstbarkeit der Netatmo-Produkte. Im Starter-Kit befindet sich eine Station für innen, eine für außen. Weitere Module für einzelne Räume oder den Hinterhof gibt es nachzukaufen. Ebenso gibt es einen Regenmesser, der die Analyse dann noch professioneller macht.

Wer beim Kauf der Netatmo Wetterstation etwas sparen möchte, der sieht sich mal auf Facebook um. Hier liefen mir des öfteren ein paar Gutscheine über den Weg, womit ich noch mal 20 bis 50 Euro sparen könnte. Für mich ist die Wetterstation auf jeden Fall ein nettes Gadget, das ich an alle diejenigen weiterempfehlen kann, die sich vor allem mit dem CO2-Gehalt näher beschäftigen wollen und eh darüber nachdenken sich einen solchen Sensor innen und außen zu platzieren. Seit dem Macbook Pro Retina und dem neuen iMac 27-Zoll bin ich ein großer Fan von hohen Auflösungen. Aber auch auf dem iPad Air und auf dem iPhone 5s macht das Retina Display eine sehr gute Figur. Da fühle ich mich immer etwas komisch, wenn ich auf einen 24-Zoll FullHD-Monitor zurück muss. Um dem Abhilfe zu schaffen, habe ich mir den 34-Zoll großen LG 34UM95 ins Büro geholt. Der kommt mit QHD / 3K Auflösung von 3.440 x 1.440 Pixel und einem Seitenverhältnis von 21:9. Dementsprechend ist er mit 86 cm Breite auch vergleichsweise ausladend. Doch immer noch kompakter als zwei 24-Zoller nebeneinander stehen zu haben. Es bietet sich also an, auf ein One-Display-Setup zurückzukehren.
