So wurde schon mancher Akku geleert – oder ein Laptop-Rucksack von innen beheizt: Sie klicken in Windows via Start/Ein-/Aus auf Herunterfahren und klappen das Notebook zu. Erst einige Zeit später klappen Sie den Rechner wieder auf und können ihm gerade noch dabei zuschauen, wie er nun ausschaltet. Oder Sie merken, dass der Akku leer ist. Was passiert hier?Lösung: Windows kennt verschiedene Einstellungen dazu, was beim Herunterfahren, beim Netzschalter-Drücken und beim Zuklappen passiert. Vermutlich ist bei Ihnen eingestellt, dass die Geräte sich beim Zuklappen nur in den Ruhemodus versetzen. Wenn Sie manuell auf Herunterfahren geklickt haben und sofort zuklappen, wird das Herunterfahren unterbrochen – das Gerät legt sich schlafen. Erst wenn Sie es wieder wecken, setzt sich das Herunterfahren fort.

Klicken Sie auf Start, tippen Sie Systemst ein und öffnen Sie die Systemsteuerung. Gehen Sie darin zu System und Sicherheit/Energieoptionen. Hinter dem aktiven Energiesparplan klicken Sie auf den Link Energiesparplaneinstellungen ändern. Weiter gehts zu Erweiterte Energieeinstellungen ändern. Klappen Sie die Option Netzschalter und Zuklappen/Zuklappen auf. Hier haben Sie für «Auf Akku» und für «Netzbetrieb» zwei Ausklappmenüs. Sie könnten bei beiden «Nichts unternehmen» wählen. Damit würde beim Zuklappen Windows einfach weiterlaufen. Falls Sie unmittelbar vorher auf Herunterfahren geklickt haben, würde dieser Vorgang zu Ende geführt. Alternative: Sie können auch hier direkt auf Herunterfahren umschalten. Dann reicht es in Zukunft, den Rechner zuzuklappen, damit er herunterfährt; ein manuelles Klicken wäre damit überflüssig.
