Bei der normalen, alltäglichen Nutzung des Touchpads treten nur geringfügige Schwächen zu Tage. Ghost Touches, Aussetzer oder nervige Sprünge des Mauszeigers plagen den Nutzer des Chuwi Lapbook Air nicht. Eine störende Eingabeverzögerung gibt es ebenso wenig. Auffällig ist lediglich, dass der Mauszeiger sich hin und wieder noch etwas weiter bewegt, wenn man den Finger stoppt aber auf der Touchfläche belässt. Zudem ist die Präzision nicht gut genug für Anwendungen wie z.B. Photoshop. Für den durchschnittlichen Nutzer, bei dem das präzisions-technisch höchste der Gefühle das Markieren von Text ist, reicht sie aber allemal aus. Beim Zweifinger-Scrollen kommt es hin und wieder vor, dass eine Zoom Geste erkannt wird. Das passiert aber recht selten. Wen das stört, der kann die Zoom Geste einfach deaktivieren.

Doch es gibt noch einen weiteren Grund: Das entsperrte UEFI nebst ausreichend guter Kühlung. Kenner werden schon wissen was jetzt kommt. Im UEFI könnt ihr dank den verfügbaren Einstellungen unter "Advanced / Thermal" das "Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework" deaktivieren. Dies hindert den Prozessor daran, bei höherer Temperatur den Takt zu reduzieren, was sich in einer besseren Leistung bemerkbar macht. Darüber hinaus könnt ihr unter "Advanced / CPU Configuration / CPU Power Management" die Option "Power Limit 1 Enable" deaktivieren. Damit werden die Power Limits entfernt und der Prozessor kann seine volle Leistung ausspielen. Dies gilt dann insbesondere für die GPU, deren Leistung dann im Sinne der Framerate je nach Benchmark bis zu 60% mehr Dampf bringt. Das Resultat ist dann ein Antutu Ergebnis von 126.000 Punkten und eine vor allem beim Surfen und Multitasking deutlich flüssigere Nutzererfahrung.

In Spielen macht sich die Leistungssteigerung auch positiv bemerkbar. League of Legends lässt sich dann auch auf höheren Grafikeinstellungen und nativer Auflösung flüssig spielen. World of Tanks ist auf mittleren Grafikeinstellungen im Fenster-Modus ebenfalls spielbar, ruckelt aber etwas. Setzt man die Grafikeinstellungen auf das Minimum, läuft das Spiel flüssig (auch in nativer Auflösung). Einfachere Windows Store Games wie Asphalt Xtreme lassen sich auf höchsten Grafikeinstellungen flüssig spielen. Bei Asphalt Xtreme muss man jedoch das 30fps Limit aktivieren, da es sonst Grafikprobleme gibt. Im Sinne der Temperatur kommt das Chuwi Lapbook Air problemlos mit diesen Einstellungen und Aufgaben klar. Die Marke von 80°C am Prozessor wird zwar unter Volllast geknackt, doch eine kritische Temperatur wird nicht erreicht. Das Chuwi Lapbook Air ist ab Werk recht gut gekühlt. Neben einem großen Kupfer Heatsink leitet ein Wärmeleitpad auch Hitze an die Bodenplatte aus Aluminium ab. Einem Überhitzen wird damit vorgebeugt. Das Laptop erwärmt sich spürbar, jedoch nie unangenehm.
