Sprayer Testing Part 1: Regular and China Fine Mist Sprayer(KEXON)
If you have a liquid that needs squirting, spraying, misting, or splattering, you need a Mini Trigger Sprayer. But what kind of sprayer do you need? There are so many to choose from! It may be overwhelming to look at all of the different types of sprayers available at Container & Packaging Supply, so let’s take a look at a few of the varieties and styles to find the perfect one for you. I did a bit of product testing on many of them to help determine which will work best.
Fine Mist Sprayers
The fine mist sprayers are perfect for spraying, you guessed it, fine mist a short distance. There are two different varieties: trigger and finger tip fine mist sprayers. The trigger sprayers have exactly that: a small trigger that, when pulled, squirts out liquid. The finger tip dispensers are the right size for one finger to depress. I tested these with various different liquids. Water and similarly viscous liquids create a perfect mist that extends about 3-6” from the nozzle. Light oil also produced a fine mist spray. Thicker liquids, such as lotion and conditioner, didn’t work well. A couple of the fine mist sprayers clogged due to their tiny dip tubes. This dispenser would be perfect for eyeglass cleaner or a similar product that only needs to be sprayed a short distance.
Regular Mist Sprayers
These dispensers spray quite a bit farther than the fine misters. The three regular mist sprayers are all finger-depressed. No triggers in this bunch! These didn’t get clogged, even with thick conditioner or dish soap. They spray a mist best, just as the fine misters do, with water. These two regular mist sprayers, the S007C and the S015, spray about 7-8” of water mist, and the other regular mist sprayer, the S010C, sprays about 17” of water mist. As the liquids get thicker, the misting quality decreases, but the distance that the sprayers shoot increases. Soap, lotion, and oil create more of a stream or splatter than a mist, but can spray up to 40” from the nozzle. These sprayers are best suited for creating mist with thin liquids.
