The operation of the general foam pump has the following aspects to be maintained, one is the adjustment of the impeller, the other is the bearing lubrication, and the adjustment of the impeller must adjust the clearance between the impeller and the guard plate in time. The steps are as follows: stop the pump, loosen the bolts fastening the bearing body; add adjusting gaskets between the bearing body and the material box, so that the bearing assembly will move upward, and rotate the shaft by hand in the direction of the pump operation until the impeller and the guard plate slightly friction; tighten the bolts, and re-check whether the impeller rotation is normal.

For metal lined pumps, the clearance between impeller and guard plate is 0.5-1 mm. Rubber lined pump moves the bearing assembly downward to make the impeller contact with the sheath. According to the total movement of the bearing assembly, this half is taken as the clearance between the impeller and the sheath. As for bearing lubrication, proper amount of grease has been added to the shaft when it is assembled. During operation, grease can be added regularly. Too much grease will cause the bearing to heat up. The amount and period of grease injection vary greatly with different working conditions, so it is necessary to accumulate experience gradually in use.

There is another important problem to note, that is, if the foam pump stays stationary for a long time, it is recommended to rotate the bearing 1/4 ring by hand every week, so that the bearing can bear static load and external vibration evenly.

If all of the above points can be done, the foam pump can also run well, and it is not easy to have problems. In the case of long time no need for foam pumps, we must pay attention to some of the above problems.
