Born in Switzerland, Lars Rüetschi later emigrated to Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro.His love for music started way back when he was seven years. He started playing piano at this age, later moving to guitar. After discovering the guitar at the age of 14, Lars Rüetschi brought piano influence into his playing, combining expressive phrasing with pianistic voicing and later developing his own unique style. At 15 he already has own 4-track-recorder where he recorded and arranged his own compositions. At the age of 17 he has his first professional studio job for a single recording.
