Today, child labor is the problem of the 21st century, especially in the third world countries. Moreover, some multinational corporations hire children in order to take advantage of the cheap labor. Hence, these children work in extremely uncomfortable environments for long hours with minimum wage. Therefore, there should be certain measures in order to reduce child labor and cope with this issue.

In fact, governments are not able to deal with the problem by laws that prohibit it. Besides, shutting down the companies does not solve the issue. However, there are many approaches that can help to deal with the problem. One of them is reducing poverty. This method includes searching for alternative route to cope with this issue. Multinational companies should participate in this process and influence positively the economy of the resident country. The corporations should give a chance to third world countries to participate in the world trade; thus, the industrial sector will be established in the countries (Gifford, 2009).
Of course, from any ethical perspective, child labor is a negative phenomenon, because it robs children’s childhood, and they are not able to live normal lives. In such situations, children cannot defend themselves and claim their rights. All children have the right for normal childhood, and they should be protected from any kind of abuse. Moreover, some parents cannot afford education for their children, and they have to work. Nevertheless, children have the right for education; thus, they should have more opportunities to get better job in the future. In turns, it would positively influence the country’s economy (Lieten, 2005).
The use of child labor is not right; moreover, corporations should avoid such a practice. Governments and corporations should pay more attention to this issue. In fact, there should be coalition ensuring that the situation with child corporate labor would not become worse.
