Yonge and Finch Intersection acts as the eponymous anchor for the surrounding neighbourhood. It’s regarded as an incredibly affluent area with the average homes sales in the region going for well over one million dollars.
This junction is immediately surrounded by an abundance of stores, services, and restaurants, which shouldn’t be surprising considering its near perfect Walk Score. It is also incredibly well served by public transit as buses and streetcars careen down the streets, but it’s about to get a whole lot better, and you’ll soon see why this is the next place to invest in condos.
Connected By Transit And Roads
This intersection has a Walkscore of 93/100 and a Transit Score of 100/100. The excellent Walkscore indicates that you’re able to take care of all your daily errands without the use of a car. The high transit score can be explained by the presence of Finch Station on this corner. This station connects to the Yonge/ University line, and it is capable of taking passengers to Union Station in 30 minutes. Finch Station is also a large bus depot, meaning there is plenty of local transit in the area.
This is also a great place to live for people who commute by driving. Downtown Toronto is less than thirty minutes away thanks to the adjacent of the Ontario 401 Expressway. This expressway also connects to the Don Valley Parkway, so the entire city is at your fingertips. You can also reach Scarborough in less than 20 minutes and Mississauga in 30 minutes.
When you head south on Yonge, you’ll encounter numerous restaurants, with cuisines from all over the world including Canadian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese food. Many of these eateries are designed for people who are on the go, but there are also plenty of sit down restaurants near here too. When you need to work off all that delicious food, there’s a Goodlife Fitness Centre located directly on this corner.
The direct surroundings of the intersection are outfitted with local amenities that make life easier. There is a Metro grocery store located nearby, and it is open 24/7. This is one of the most comprehensive grocery stores in the city, having a dry cleaning service, pharmacy, live fish counters, and catering. There is also a Shoppers Drug Mart around here.
