Jerry Harris, a star on the Netflix documentary series, Cheer, has found himself in hot water in the past couple of months after being arrested on charges of child sexual abuse. Harris did admit during an interview after his home was raided by the FBI that he had asked a teen to send photos and videos.

The arrest, which took place last month, happened days after twin boys filed a lawsuit alleging that Harris had sent them sexually explicit pictures of himself. They alleged that Harris had also cornered one of the twins in a bathroom asking for oral sex. Harris also admitted that he asked the teen on numerous occasions for photographs and videos from December 2018 through to March 2020.

The twins were not the only victims of Harris. This was discovered after he admitted to asking and receiving child sexual abuse images via Snapchat from up to fifteen other boys that he knew were minors. The boy's mother reported the case to authorities after finding messages from Harris on her son’s phone. Harris, who is twenty-one, is a star of the show that follows a cheerleading team on their way to achieving a national title.

The boys are now fourteen years old and stated that the harassment had occurred at cheer competitions and online starting from when they were thirteen and Harris was nineteen. This child abuse continued for one year. The lawsuit doesn't only charge Harris of sexual misconduct, but also the organizations behind Cheer that didn't do anything to protect these boys.
