Over 100 public servants from towns including Milford, New Haven, Trumbull to receive highly popular and effective carbon fiber insoles for National 'First Responders Day'

VKTRY Gear (www.VKTRYgear.com), the fast growing industry leader in carbon fiber insoles for performance and injury protection, today announced an expansion of their “VKTRY4HEROES” program in support and appreciation of our country’s dedicated health care professionals on “National First Responders Day,” October 28.

NFL star Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns and WNBA All Star Angel McCoughtry of the Las Vegas Aces are VKTRY’s national spokespeople for the program. Since the inception of the program earlier this year, over 500 free VKTRY Insoles have been provided to health care workers and first responders across the country. This week, the company is donating another 100 pairs of “VKs” to Heroes in their home state of Connecticut. That includes police, fire and EMS workers from cities and towns including Milford, New Haven and Trumbull.

“While our business continues to grow exponentially with athletes at all skill levels, we recognize that those on the front lines of this pandemic are the real heroes amongst us that deserve the most support,” VKTRY CEO Steve Wasik said. “Therefore, we are proud to be able to provide The World’s Best Performance Insoles to some of those first responders and public servants here in Connecticut as a way for us to give back to those who help us every day.”

"We really appreciate the recognition and generosity from VKTRY," said Mike DeVito, Milford Police Department spokesman. "Our team trains and works hard to protect the community. Having these carbon fiber insoles will help put more spring in our step and reduce the day to day pounding."

The VKTRY4Heroes program was launched in the spring and has become so popular that the company has decided to expand it into a larger, ongoing program. “The feedback around the program has been amazing,” said Wasik. “We have received some truly heart-warming messages from recipients that VKs have reduced pain in their knees or back and helped them with more energy, less fatigue. All of us at VKTRY are proud that we can provide some help to America’s true heroes.”

Made from aerospace-grade carbon fiber, VKTRY Insoles have been tested and proven to improve athletic performance and reduce the chance of injuries. VKTRY Insoles are available in five different levels of flexibility to optimize performance, protection and comfort. Athletes at more than 300 professional and college teams wear VKTRY Insoles for training and competition. Some of those athletes include Ryder Cup Captain Padraig Harrington, Fernando Tatis Jr of the San Diego Padres, Vlad Guerrero Jr. the Toronto Blue Jays, WNBA All-Star Angel McCoughtry of the Las Vegas Aces, US Olympic Volleyball Team Captain Jordan Larson and over 200 NFL athletes including Nick Chubb.

About VKTRY:
VKTRY was created and founded by Certified Pedorthist Matt Arciuolo, who initially developed an early generation of the insole for the USA Olympic Bobsled and Skeleton teams. The product design evolved following the Olympics and Arciuolo received a product patent in 2015. The Milford, Connecticut based company began manufacturing and marketing the insoles in 2016. A 2017 study of 263 college athletes wearing VKs resulted in 22% less lower leg injuries and 41% less foot injuries. Because all athletes are not alike, VKTRY Insoles are available in 5 levels of flexibility based on the size of the athlete and the sport or activity. In 2020, the company launched the “VKTRY4HEROES” program in support and appreciation of our country’s dedicated health care professionals as they tirelessly battle this pandemic.
