[SINGAPORE, 16/12/2015] – The company that leads the way to Singapore’s mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) use, Galmon, provides its clients with four types of up-to-date boom lifts that are useful for different types of job and worksites.

Telescopic Boom Lifts

The telescopic boom lifts, also called stick boom or straight boom, are for jobs that need higher reaching abilities. This boom lift is applicable for steering and manoeuvring in any direction. It can also move the boom from vertical position and lower it horizontally. The model that Galmon offers has a turntable that can also turn to different directions and rotate up to 360 degrees.

Articulating Boom Lifts

The company also has an articulating boom lift or knuckle boom. This is the preferred boom for tasks that involve reaching up when there are obstacles below, such as other machines and equipment scattered along the work area. This is drivable at full elevation. Similar to the telescopic boom lift, it can also do a full rotation of its turntable and raise or lower the boom from vertical position to below horizontal.

The knuckle boom is narrow enough to access and pass through smaller aisles and congested areas at the work site. The machine can also manoeuvre and steer backward and forward.

Tow-able Boom Lifts

Towable boom lift is the combination of articulated boom and turntable on the chassis of a towable trailer. Galmon emphasises that this boom lift can be advantageous for rental services as it is transportable through towing. The lift uses rechargeable batteries or gasoline powered generator to function. It also has self-levelling hydraulic outriggers for easy and quick set-up.

Electric Boom Lifts

The business also sells electric boom lifts. Similar to the towable boom lifts, this type functions by means of rechargeable batteries. It has the features of an articulating boom lifts as well, drivable at full elevation and can access narrow and busy aisles of industrial work areas.

Galmon offers these various boom lifts in models that can work up to 58 meters from the ground and can resist up to 450 kilograms.
