Toshiba bietet einen kostenlosen Austausch für die möglicherweise betroffenen Akkus an.Für den Akku-Rückruf hat Toshiba eine eigene Webseite online: Toshiba-Akkuaustauschprogramm. Dort können Kunden prüfen, ob Ihr Akku betroffen ist und gegebenenfalls einen Austausch für einen als gefährlich eingestuften Akku anfordern. Toshiba listet mehr als 50 Artikelnummern bei den Zubhörakkus und mehr als 1400 SKUs, die weltweit als Modellvarianten verkauft wurden. Hierzu zählen die Reihen Portégé, Qosmio, Satellite, Satellite Pro und Tecra.
