Das vorinstallierte hauseigene Update-Hilfsprogramm Lenovo Companion fand es bei Redaktionsschluss noch nicht; wir haben es deshalb vor den Messungen manuell eingespielt. Lenovo verkauft das IdeaPad 320-15IKB in unzähligen Ausstattungsvarianten. In besonders günstigen Modellen arbeiten üblicherweise Celeron- und Pentium-CPUs mit lahmen Kernen aus Intels Atom-Schiene; nebenher gibt es auch Konfigurationen mit AMD- statt Intel-Prozessor. Das Lenovo IdeaPad 320-15IKB liefert dank achter Core-i-Generation viel Rechenleistung in einem flachen Gehäuse zum vergleichsweise kleinen Preis. Der größte Knackpunkt des IdeaPad ist der schlechte Bildschirm; sichtbar bessere IPS-Panels gibt es erst in teureren Geräten. Und wer Features wie einen Helligkeitssensor oder eine beleuchtete Tastatur wünscht, muss noch tiefer in die Tasche greifen.Braucht man die hohe Rechenleistung nicht, reicht im Büro- und Internet-Alltag auch ein Doppelkern der Vorgängergeneration. Mit so ausgestatteten Geräten kann man wiederum ordentlich Geld sparen: Es gibt sie bereits ab 550 Euro. c't testet in der kommenden Ausgabe 22/2017 fünf Notebooks mit Core i5 und SSD, die zwischen 550 und 600 Euro kosten. Als erstes Notebook unter 500 Euro bietet das HP 15-bs061ng neben einer schnellen SSD zusätzlich eine HDD mit 1 TByte Speicherplatz. Im Test überzeugt neben der auch sonst üppigen Ausstattung vor allem die Performance. Dafür spart HP beim Display, dem Akku und der Tastatur. Das verbaut dem ansonsten starken Einsteiger-Laptop eine noch bessere Platzierung in unserer Bestenliste.

Was bei Ergonomie und Display fehlt, liefert HP bei der Ausstattung doppelt nach. Neben dem Standard-Repertoire samt HDMI-Port, SDXC-Slot und drei USB-Anschlüssen (2x USB-3.0, 1x USB 2.0) verfügt das Notebook über einen integrierten DVD-Brenner. Ins Internet gelangt man wahlweise per WLAN-ac oder über den LAN-Port. Letzterer unterstützt Datenraten von bis zu 1 GBit/s, was schnelle Kopiervorgänge im Netzwerk erlaubt. Passend dazu bietet das HP Notebook eine 128 GByte große SSD und eine separate HDD mit 1 TByte großem Speicher.Da die verbaute SSD nicht nur als Datenspeicher dient, sondern unter anderem das vorinstallierte Windows 10 Home beherbergt, ist der Systemstart in Sekundenschnelle erledigt. Auch die sonstige Performance kann sich dank Intel Core i3-6006U mit 2 GHz und 4 GByte DDR3-RAM (PC4-17000 - 2133 MHz) sehen lassen. Obwohl das nicht gerade nicht viel Arbeisspeicher ist, reicht die Performance für Office-Anwendungen und einfache Multimedia-Aufgaben aus.
