Still, wondering if it is safe to take omega-3 fish oil supplement with your daily dose of multivitamins? If yes, then read the above press release.

Omega-3 fish oil and multivitamin are two of the most popular supplements available in the market. Many people consider them as close allies as one taking fish oil will avoid multivitamin or the other way around. However, there are some who like to take both at the same time, but is it possible without triggering an allergic reaction? Healthy Naturals, one of the leading fish oil brands, decided to come forward to shed some light on this topic. The company decided to come live with a team of specialists to answer whether you should take a fish oil supplement with multivitamins or not?
In the live session, the spokesperson and social media manager Mr. Gautam Bansal came forward to explain “People often wondered if they can take fish oil and multivitamins at the same time. The answer is “YES” they can. In fact, most of the multivitamins contain the fish oil and, in most cases, it is fine to take both at the same time.” He further explained, “There are some people who are allergic to the fish and fish oil can obviously trigger those allergies. Therefore, it is also suggested to consult with your physician before adding a fish oil supplement in your daily diet.”
There is no particular time to take omega-3 fatty acids, but taking the fish oil pills and multivitamin together may affect the absorption of particular nutrients, but it is not certain how much it affects. The healthcare expert Dr Summit Verma explains that “The absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, D, E and K may be enhanced when taken with balanced meals.” He further explained that “In the small study published in the Journal of the academy of nutrition and dietetics, participants who took the fish oil with the meal that contained 30 per cent calories from the fat had 32 per cent higher blood plasma blood levels of vitamin D3 12 hours after the administration compared to those who ate the low-fat meal.”
During the session, one of the followers asked if he can take cod liver oil with the multivitamin? Mr. Rajesh Batra- the specialist at the Healthy Naturals, explained that “Fish oil is created by pressing the whole body of the fish while cod liver oil is obtained by pressing the liver of the codfish. Although there is not much difference between both in terms of omega-3s, but fish oil offers vitamins like A and D while cod liver offers none. Taking them is not the problem unless you are taking a high dose of vitamin A or D. As it can cause some serious side-effects.”
“So, should we take it or not?” one of the viewers asked- “Yes, you should take fish oil and multivitamin especially if your meals lack these, but you should carefully read the labels to make sure you don’t exceed the safe intake level.” Said Mr. Summit Verma, the specialist at Healthy Naturals.
