As one of the most popular MMORPGs, World of Warcraft still continues to influence the younger generation after more than a decade of development. With this influence, the Warcraft movie has been potentially regarded as a big success that can expect a larger audience when it hit the theater this June. However, before the time comes, Duncan Jones has offered some incredible practical medieval sets, as previewed in behind-the-scenes images. The images reveal the throne room and the street view in the “some of the set of the Stormwind city exteriors” and “busy streets of downtown Stormwind”. Writing on Twitter, the director told that these images are not reshoots but “from the original production” that was required to be kept under wraps until now.

1. Sequel: In an early interview with 2P, the director hinted at a possibility of a sequel for Warcraft. While being asked if there is any plan about more movies about WoW, maybe a trilogy to tell such a huge fantasy story, Jones told that his job in the first film is to “establish certain characters, places and culture while telling a story that a broad audience can be excited by”, and that he would love to tell more about the lore that makes up Warcraft, but it will all depend on “what you, the audience, think of our first film”.

2. Plot: For the plot of Warcraft, some people might be expecting that it will revolve around a battle between human and orcs, but Jones clarified that it is not about “a good race of humans battling an evil race of Orcs”, but about “heroes on both sides trying to avoid a conflict, when villains leave them no choice". As why the movie features the first time Orcs met Humans, Jones explained that introducing first the characters unknown to non-players would be a good move.

“I think that for a world with so much newness to explain, this was a wise choice, especially when so many people in our audience may not know anything about Warcraft... it was important that some of our characters would be seeing the world fresh as well, and that the audience could see the situation through their eyes."
