1. Don’t take capstones and you will see if you hit regeneration stops.

The regeneration does not interrupt nor stop. You do get the reduction in the stealth meter relative to the damage you take. It is not related to the regeneration speed. Shadow of Demise doesn’t prevent the damage from reducing the stealth bar like Tenacious concealment at ranks 1-3. It affects only the regeneration speed itself and it is not interpreted with Shadow of Demise and about 11% per second.

2. You can time recharge speed by getting dazing strike to match those times.

Tenacious 4 does not prevent the damage effect like Tenacious 1-3. It does add recharge speed. With it the recharge is about 8 seconds instead of 9 with Shadow of Demise or 10 without both. You can time it easily by adjusting recovery to get dazing strike to match those times. If you have spare respec tokens, you can try it several times. The seconds delay on recharge without Shadow of Demise is very noticeable. Or you can quickly install it on PC and do it all on the preview server for free.

If you are taking DOT damage, it seems that the recharge is slower. But in essence, the original recharge is the same. You just get the stealth bar reduced periodically by the damage. It is usually 2 steps forward and 1.9 back because of the damage. So visibly you see only 0.1 unless you measure it really carefully.

3. You can use Smoke Bomb and stealth to see the time for smoke bomb ticks.

If you activate Smoke bomb from stealth, you get the stealth reduced to 0 and smoke activated. The problem is that the stealth damage in the first instance will be in the next tick. When it is checked, you are no longer in stealth and Shadow of Demise will not be activated.

The easy solution in this case is to use Smoke Bomb and the stealth. If you are fast enough or can record it, you can see the time for smoke bomb ticks. Also you can activate blitz during the animation after you press it and it will proc Shadow of Demise while you have almost full stealth.
