Improving the lives of families and children living in impoverish conditions around the world.

Stamford, CT – Russell Berkowitz, founding partner at The Berkowitz Law Firm, achieved his dream of doing his part in combatting the world’s poverty epidemic by forming the nonprofit organization, Across the Globe Children’s Foundation (ATGCF). The foundation, in conjunction with several local and international organizations such as Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, has assisted in several initiatives around the world. ATGCF aims to educate and encourage supporters throughout the United States and around the world to assist in their efforts.

“As far back as I can remember, it has been my dream to be in a position to help end the cycle of poverty and disease,” Berkowitz said.

In 2014, Berkowitz turned that dream into a reality by establishing ATGCF.

ATGCF is entirely dedicated to helping improve the lives of children living in impoverish conditions. During their first two years of establishment, the foundation has achieved many accomplishments. To date, the organization has assisted in over 10 initiatives including helping poverty-stricken villages and towns throughout Honduras receive clean drinking water systems as well as communities throughout the U.S., Haiti, Ecuador, Kenya, and Ethiopia establish education facilities, build homes, and provide necessary medical treatment to orphaned and homeless children.

More recently, the foundation is currently aiding in the funding of a new school building being constructed in Guatemala. Currently, children at the Aldea El Rosario Sacubul Preschool and Primary School are receiving their education in dilapidated provisional buildings until the new school is completed.

“We are eternally grateful for the support from our local community and partner organizations,” Berkowitz said. “Without their passion to make a difference in the world around them, we would not have been able to achieve the amazing things we have accomplished in such a short period of time.”

Across the Globe Children’s Foundation partners with dozens of U.S. and international nonprofit organizations such as Kids in Crisis, International Children’s Heart Foundation, Pencils of Promise, and Water1st International.

“We are grateful that we can make a difference in other people’s lives,” says Berkowitz. “That’s the one thing that drives us.”
