Clear your private message history in chatbox

Have you ever been plagued by any old private messages that longer than necessary? Now it is your time to clear them up with the addition of new private chat features to OSRS. Just right click the private chat stone beneath the chatbox shown as below and select the relative button to clear history.

Except for the above updates, this week we will get more contents for the concerned resizable mode. Although some problems on resizable mode, such as fullscreen, interface and minimap haven’t gotten a solution, things are all in planned. And now to make clear settings tabs that gets a little full with resizable mode, a new advanced options menu is provided to separate out the interface and graphics options. Besides, two new toggles are provided to click through chat box and close side-panels with hotkeys.

The promised zoom control & more will come in the future

As resizable mode had been released for some time, Jagex has also collected some feedback and promised to bring forward to more concerned contents: zoom control, scaled-up versions of the chatbox, interface and minimap some weeks later.

Some players have questioned that other client (OSB) can put in the zoom feature within a day or two, and why Jagex can’t do so. As a highly-anticipated function, zoom control does receive much concern, and that is also the reason why Jagex needs much time to develop it.

According to Mod Ash, zoom control isn’t a hard work, but there will be little sense if it can’t be stocked when you logout. Thus, they need to install support in the engine for storing players’ zoom preference over logout, which is a large job that needs much time. But once this work completes, the feature would also allows players to store scrollbar positions over logout for things like World Switch, or store the vertical height of the chatbox if it is allowed to expand vertically, etc.
