To sum up, the Ronald Reagan’s policy had a positive impact on the US economy. The number of unemployed decreased, and the inflation rate fall. On the other hand, the cutting down of social programs was the illogic way to achieve these results.

The Ronald Reagan’s policy has had a positive and adverse impact on the economy and social life in the USA. Its main aim was the reduction of the government’s interruption in social-economic sphere of the country.

One of the directions was the US army. The President gave significant amount of money to the military as he considered the USSR America’s main enemy. For that reason, the US army only grew in size and the big part of the budget was allocated to the military’s requests. Moreover, it was given the freedom for secretive agencies. Overall, the President’s aim was to increase the American forces against America’s foes and win the war.

The other direction of Reagan’s policy was the cutting the aid for the poor. Reagan cut the social programs and various subsidies for the poor population stratum. The minimum wage was the boundary of the survival. The difference between the rich and the poor grew during Reagan’s presidential term. Food cards were canceled, and benefits for single mothers significantly reduced. The majority of the poor population lived under the poverty line. The budget deficit caused these actions and the decrease of help for the poorest. The main reason for this direction was the damaging effect of social aids on people. The President’s policy was directed at the rich Americans. The wealthy became reach and the poor became humble. It was the thought the President did not understand, or he did not want to see the dire state of the poor citizens. His direction at cutting costs did not play a significant role. For instance, the cutting of a big part of social programs and cutting down taxes played an inverse role for the economy and the welfare of the nation.

The third direction of Reagan’s policy was corporations. The President gave the freedom for corporations and abated the taxes for them. The deregulation of the banking system opened the way for speculations. The corporate body snatchers had the opportunity to manipulate stocks, junk bonds. The raiders were the everyday thing. During Reagan’s presidency, there was the flop of different saving and loan institutions. It cost billions of dollars for the taxpayers. Jobbers used these situations for risky activity, which helped them to earn great amount money quickly. Overall, the situation was difficult for the honest people who paid taxes.

“The government is not the solution, the government is the problem.” This Reagan’s phrase sounds like a joke. On the other hand, the government creates the bills and rules for the people to live by. They put prohibit some actions, like emigration, or some kinds of goods. Moreover, wars are also the part of government’s strives. They should make peace at the beginning without losses from both sides. For that reason, the government cannot be the solution. It consists of people and they make mistakes. If ordinary people cannot manage ourselves, so how can a group of some people govern the nation?

The New Right cartoon was a summation of different innovations. One of them was the restriction of the government’s intervention in the economy. The other streamline was the interdiction on the homosexual behavior and pornography. These actions called people to think about their moral views. The morality of the nation was at the low level, and the President needed to do something. Moreover, it was created the permission to pray in the schools.

To sum up, the Ronald Reagan’s policy had a positive impact on the US economy. The number of unemployed decreased, and the inflation rate fall. On the other hand, the cutting down of social programs was the illogic way to achieve these results.
