The fire cape/ bandos armour/ chaotic weapons can boost your chances of killing and joining teams and can really aid in obtaining things that are valuable, like party hats. You can save money by purchasing effigies from bosses (ONLY SOLO'S) to higher-priced abilities such as herblore. Individuals with little experience can be trusted to do large tasks for their bosses. They can also earn great lootshares.
Disadvantages----Takes extremely long to see drops such as a sigil from corp or torva armour from nex and can get frustrating but the effort is well worth it. The best way to increase your chances of getting many drops is to acquire more requirements, such extremes and chaos weapons. Talk about the disadvantages and benefits of being bossy.
I'm level 129, I started playing RS roughly a month before RS2 was released. Because I was in middle-school at the time, it was very simple (and usually just a few days) to find time to play RS. I'm talking about a normal kid, made excellent grades, played normal sports and so on. There's only so much you could do when you're younger.
Also, I was among the first people to get DSL in my region (I still use it fuuuu.png), so there was nothing wrong with getting my scape on. God know how much crap about computers that game taught my 11 year old self.
But I'm here not to inflict nostalgia on your face. RS has published a lot of updates that are high-level in the past year, including chaos weapons godwars and nex, corp, and all sorts of junk. While the requirements aren't an issue for me however, there are a lot of other things that I do not have, however I'll admit that should I have more time, I'd be able to have these.
