Olivine sand?is used as molding sand for brass, bronze, aluminum and magnesium casting models and cast steel parts. It also can be use as EBT sand, nozzle sand, tap-hole sand and tundish sand.


Compared with zircon sand, brown sapphire and quartzes, olivine foundry sand product has no phase transition from room temperature to the 1900 melting point. It has stable thermal property, strong adhesive force, and it can produce a smoother surface.
Its main component is MgO and SiO2. There is raw olivine sand and calcined?olivine sand. The raw is in green color. The calcined is in yellow. And they have different usages.
