Space utilisation

These small cold storage units can be placed under the counters, kept on the counter top or can be stacked over some wooden stool or kept at some corner cabinets. They are free standing in nature and the functioning is as same as the huge standalone freezers and refrigerators. Their functioning like the temperature controller, alarm system and temperature monitor is same as the full size models. Both manual and automatic defrost system is available in these models. The only demit of these freezers and refrigerators are that they are susceptible to temperature variations or fluctuations due to their compact size. The things to remember while buying these small cold units are:
•The size of the cold unit should fit in the space provided by the already made casework for the counters to be fitted.
•There should be enough space clearance for its proper functioning.
•There should be a proper power outlet switch.
Lockable doors and cabinets
Along with proper spacing of the medical freezers, their security too is a major concern. Most of these laboratory freezers contain important medical supplies, organs from transplantations, curable vaccines, narcotics and clinical samples. Their security becomes a major concern because of the nature of storage items, thus, each freezer is fitted with a lock or multiple locks. Various drawers and cabinets inside the freezer too can be locked separately and many freezers are fitted with security alarms. This helps to stop unauthorised persons from mishandling the samples and for eradication of cross contamination of materials and bacteria.
